The Taste of Middlesex Committee Meeting will be held Feb. 2 and Feb. 19, March 5 and March 19 at 8:30 a.m. at the Pines Manor. The event is March 22 at the Pines Manor. We expect over 40 food and beverage establishments and between 300 and 400 guests! The Edison Police and Fire Departments will have a cook off! Restaurants, caterers and beverage distributors do not pay to participate, only provide samples for 300 people.

One of the new 2010 initiatives of the Edison Chamber Commerce is the networking breakfast series, every other month, on the 2nd Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The February 9 event will be held at the Skylark Fine Diner and Lounge at Route 1 and 17 Wooding Avenue, Edison.
'Wake Up Edison - Don't Sleep on Business' is your place to be to meet other Edison members over breakfast and networking. Skylank will provide a full breakfast menu. Seating is limited to the first 25 people. $16 pp is a bargain. Register and pay in advance online. Non -refundable but transferable. No walk-ins. Eligibility: Edison member. Mark your calendar now. April 13, June 8, Aug. 10, Oct. 12 and Dec. 14; locations to be announced.

The Middlesex County Employers Legislative Committee is reorganized and will meet monthly on the 2nd Friday starting February 12, 2010. The breakfast forums will feature a notable local legislator, a NJBIZ spokesperson who will give an update from Trenton. All attendees will have the opportunity to introduce themselves. The Edison, Middlesex County and Woodbridge Chambers are coordinating the forums with NJBIA. Location: Renaissance Woodbridge. The guest speaker for February is Woodbridge Mayor John E. McCormac. An legislative update will be provided by NJBIA. The business community is encouraged to participate and bring business issues to the table. Call the Edison Chamber to make reservations.
